Mind Body Alignment (“we,” “us,” or “our”) establishes this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) regarding the appropriate handling of users’ personal information in connection with the online courses, classes, website, and other services provided by Mind Body Alignment (collectively, the “Services”).

Article 1. Personal Information

For the purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (the “APPI”) and includes information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual based on the individual’s name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, or other information contained therein.

Personal Information also includes facial images, fingerprints, voiceprints, and other individual identification codes that can independently identify a specific individual.

Article 2. Methods of Collecting Personal Information

We may collect Personal Information from users when necessary to provide the Services or to process registration, bookings, inquiries, payments, and other related procedures. Such information may include the user’s name, email address, telephone number, address, date of birth, payment-related information, and other information necessary for the provision of the Services.

We may also obtain information such as users’ usage history, payment information, and other information necessary for providing the Services from payment processors, booking system providers, and other service providers or business partners engaged by Mind Body Alignment.

Please note that payment information, such as credit card numbers, may be processed through payment processors or other third-party service providers rather than being directly stored or maintained by Mind Body Alignment.

Article 3. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

We use Personal Information collected from users for the following purposes:

1. To provide, operate, and manage the Services;

2. To process and manage registrations, bookings, and participation in online courses, classes, and other services;

3. To respond to inquiries from users;

4. To verify users’ identities and manage user accounts;

5. To process fees, payments, and related billing procedures;

6. To provide important notices and communications regarding the Services, including changes, maintenance, and other necessary information;

7. To provide information about new courses, classes, services, campaigns, and other offerings;

8. To understand and analyze the use of the Services and to improve the quality and functionality of the Services;

9. To prevent violations of the Terms of Use and to prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or otherwise improper use of the Services; and

10. For purposes incidental or related to the purposes described above.

Article 4. Changes to the Purpose of Use

1. We may change the purpose of use of Personal Information to the extent that the new purpose is reasonably related to the original purpose.

2. If we change the purpose of use, we will notify users of the revised purpose or publicly announce it through a method determined by Mind Body Alignment.

Article 5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

1. We will not provide users’ Personal Information to third parties without the user’s prior consent, except in the following cases or where otherwise permitted under the APPI or other applicable laws:

   1. When disclosure is required by law;

   2. When disclosure is necessary to protect a person’s life, physical safety, or property, and obtaining the individual’s consent is difficult;

   3. When disclosure is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the sound development of children, and obtaining the individual’s consent is difficult;

   4. When disclosure is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a person entrusted by such an agency, in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual’s consent may interfere with the performance of such duties; or

   5. When otherwise permitted by the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations.

2. To the extent necessary to provide the Services, we may entrust the handling of Personal Information to third-party service providers, including payment processors, booking system providers, IT service providers, and other contractors. In such cases, we will appropriately supervise and manage such service providers.

Article 6. Disclosure of Personal Information

1. If a user requests disclosure of Personal Information held by Mind Body Alignment, we will respond appropriately in accordance with applicable laws after verifying the user’s identity.

2. We may refuse to disclose all or part of the requested information where we are not legally required to disclose it, where disclosure may harm the rights or legitimate interests of the user or a third party, where disclosure may significantly interfere with the proper operation of our business, or where otherwise permitted by law.

3. If we decide not to disclose the requested information, we will notify the user of the decision through an appropriate method.

4. We may charge a fee for requests for disclosure of Personal Information where permitted by applicable laws.

Article 7. Correction, Addition, and Deletion of Personal Information

1. If a user believes that Personal Information held by Mind Body Alignment is inaccurate, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion of such information in accordance with procedures established by Mind Body Alignment.

2. Upon receiving such a request, we will conduct an appropriate investigation and, where required under applicable laws, correct, add, or delete the relevant Personal Information to the extent necessary.

3. We will notify the user of the outcome of our response through an appropriate method.

Article 8. Suspension of Use and Deletion of Personal Information

1. If a user meets the requirements prescribed under the APPI, including circumstances where Personal Information has been handled in violation of applicable laws, the user may request suspension of use, deletion, or other necessary measures in accordance with procedures established by Mind Body Alignment.

2. Upon receiving such a request, we will conduct any investigation required by applicable laws and take appropriate measures when necessary.

3. We will notify the user of the outcome of our response through an appropriate method.

Article 9. Security Measures

We take necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent risks relating to Personal Information, including unauthorized access, leakage, loss, damage, or other improper handling.

When we entrust the handling of Personal Information to third parties, we will appropriately select service providers and exercise necessary supervision over them.

Article 10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

1. We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, except where otherwise provided by applicable laws or by this Policy.

2. Unless otherwise specified by Mind Body Alignment, any revised Privacy Policy will become effective when it is published on our website or otherwise publicly announced through a method determined by Mind Body Alignment.
